About the role
An opportunity exists to work in the Business Development Team who are passionate about identifying new and existing opportunities to help support and grow our schools, as well as welcoming new schools to our group, to help them reach their full potential.
Key Job Functions
- Identifying and researching new opportunities as they arise
- Preparing grant applications and supporting documentation
- Supporting the implementation of systems and processes to achieve their full potential
- Assisting in the integration of new schools joining the CEM group
- Enhancing existing CEM Schools through project-based improvement work
- Supporting other projects and programs within CEM to run effectively and efficiently
- Other responsibilities as directed by the Head of Business Development
This full-time position reports to the Head of Business Development and is to start as soon as is practicable.
The salary for this position is commensurate with relevant education, skills, and experience.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce or demonstrated equivalent industry/professional experience (preferred)
- Ability to build rapport and collaborate with school staff and leaders
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders throughout the organisation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Confident in using cloud-based applications and familiar with modern technology.
- Ability to maintain an energetic, self-motivated and enthusiastic work ethic.
- Possess, or would be successful in obtaining, a Working with Children Check.
- Servant heart, vibrant Christian faith, and are actively involved in your local church.

About the Role
The Education Support Officer is an entry level service and support role in our new and emerging Education Services team. They will be responsible for the support of our Distance Education customers, including the students, parents, home supervisors, and Australian Christian College staff. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that they can navigate and utilise education systems efficiently, enhancing both user experience and operational effectiveness.
This full-time role is based at the CEM Erina office and is expected to start as soon as possible.
Salary: $60k.
Key Accountabilities:
- Effectively onboard new Students and Supervisors/Parents into Education Systems (Primarily Canvas)
- Deliver Technical support to address customer needs, ensuring as many enquiries as possible are resolved without the need for escalation.
- Provide Level One triaging and helpdesk support for our Education Services and Systems (e.g. Canvas, Salesforce, Intercom, Canva)
- Provide high levels of customer support and service to accurately diagnose issues and offer effective resolutions to minimise system down-time and loss of productivity.
- Promptly allocate unresolved calls to ensure responsive and timely customer service.
- Stay updated on changing ICT standards and technology to ensure compliance with current services.
- Stay updated on current policies and practices surrounding child safety and wellbeing.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support CEM's goals and objectives.
- Exceptional communication skills
- An eagerness to engage in problem solving and a desire to continually learn
- Familiarity with Educational Technologies not required, but would be beneficial
- Familiarity with school operations and practices not required, but would be beneficial
- General Capability with technology (Mac, iOS, Google, Zoom etc)
- Devout commitment to live and work in accordance with the Christian Faith and its values.
- Hold and maintain a valid Working with Children Check.

About the Role
The Systems Engineer is responsible for providing systems administration, technical support, ongoing maintenance and enhancement for CEM’s business systems to meet service standards and operational requirements and support improved reliability, functionality and performance.
The position oversees the daily operations at the school while engaging in high-level collaborative projects across CEM. This dual focus ensures that immediate operational needs are met while also driving long-term initiatives that enhance system performance that align with organisational goals.
Key accountabilities:
- Oversee system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and escalation to ensure maximum availability and functionality, optimising system performance to meet user demand.
- Provide second level support to CEM's systems to maintain normal business operations.
- Conduct routine maintenance on databases and platforms of core business systems to minimise service disruptions and ensure continuous operational service delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate system performance to ensure application integrations are available to meet changing environmental priorities and stakeholder needs.
- Lead and coordinate high-level ICT projects in collaboration with the CEM team, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and successful project delivery within timelines and budgets.
- Maintain good release management practices, including preparing and documenting detailed code comments and comprehensive release notes, to ensure accurate and up-to-date systems documentation.
- Collect and analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement and support informed decision-making.
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders, representing CEM as needed and ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support CEM's goals and objectives.
This full-time role will commence as soon as possible.

About the Role
As a Trainee Teacher, you will benefit from comprehensive support throughout your learning journey:
- CEM Teaching School Manager: Facilitating a supportive and excellent Christian Teacher Formation program in collaboration with a host school and tertiary partner Christian Heritage College.
- Christian University Lecturers / CEM specialists: Offering support and guidance on specific coursework, aligned with endorsed teaching degrees.
- School-based Teaching School Coordinator: facilitating the Christian Teacher Formation Program at the school level
- School-based Mentor Teacher: Guiding your development as a distinctly Christian educator, equipping you with practical wisdom

- Participate in interviews with CEM Executive (held between September and mid-November annually).
- Confirm ATAR or equivalent entry requirements for undergraduate degree.
- Await notification of scholarship acceptance.
Candidates progressing through the selection process will be granted a conditional teacher traineeship, subject to meeting tertiary entrance requirements. Following this, you'll have the chance to visit your potential placement school and meet the Principal before commencing online lectures in late January/early February each year.
